| I have contacted Lendlease about the pitiful state of the derelict car park in Essex Place which is a complete eyesore covered in broken glass, rubbish and even at times urine. Lendlease turned down a wonderful offer by Abundance to turn that site into a community garden firstly saying yes and after Abundance spent ages filling out the paperwork and getting expert advice Lendlease changed their minds. It would have been a win win situation for them, someone else looking after a deteriorating site and the community having something nice to look at. There has been a result on the rubbish which has been cleared after my complaint and I have suggested that this site is cleaned on a regular basis or a small fence put around it with maybe some local art. |
