This is barely a council issue. If the landlord has rendered the space useless then any tenant short or long term is responsible for activating utilities just to get things up and running again. A huge cost best borne by a long-term plan that will spread it over months/years of operation to make maths work. It is about pressuring the landlord first. The council will take its normal amount of time regardless. They can never see past the box ticking and the consultation process will run its course no matter what. And then there's the rates. |
