| I agree that the extent of the proposed green bus zone is very unclear, we really need a map that defines the boundary. Hopefully it does cover the full extent of Chiswick High Road, especially with a new bus garage included within the current planning application for the residential redevelopment of the land on Capital Interchange Way behind the Brentford Leisure Centre at the west end of Chiswick High Road. Route 237 has recently been awarded a new five year contract with the existing diesel vehicles, so perhaps they will be retrofitted to meet the emissions standard or perhaps the green bus zone only starts from Young's Corner (junction of Chiswick High Road, Goldhawk Road and King Street) and heads east from there. Given the number of green bus zones proposed I doubt that every bus route operating within them will automatically get new electric or diesel hybrid buses. |
