The Evening Standard has the story : "Sadiq Khan creates new 'green' bus zones as part of plan to clean up London's air" http://www.standard.co.uk/news/transport/sadiq-khan-creates-new-green-bus-zones-as-part-of-plan-to-clean-up-londons-air-a3433976.html "New green bus zones are being set up on a dozen of London’s most polluted high streets in bid to improve air quality. Low emission buses will operate along 12 pollution hotspots to help reduce dangerous nitrogen dioxide there by 84 per cent by 2020. Transport for London will roll-out the zones in Edmonton, Stratford and Haringey and other routes outside of central London. .... ...The other green bus zones will be along high streets in Leyton, Lewisham, Camberwell, Clapham Junction, Kilburn, Shepherds Bush and Chiswick...." Unfortunately the extent of the Chiswick zone is given as "Chiswick High Road to Kensington – via Hammersmith Broadway and Kensington High Street to Studland Street" I'm not sure that this covers much of CHR. |
