Particulate levels spike markedly when you're near a diesel exhaust pipe - has to be one of the least surprising stories ever. Similarly the Oxford Street story someone else on this thread cited: since the traffic on most of Oxford Street is entirely buses and taxis, it's hardly surprising that pollution levels fell when the buses were on strike. |
