| 2 years to conclude negotiations looks optimistic.. It has hasn't been done before and it can be extended if everyone agrees. Coming up with an agreement for the status of EU citizens in the UK and all the British in Europe looks like a bit of a nightmare particularly given the huge number of British retirees in Europe who aren't paying tax but can get access to the full range of medical services at the moment. Then there will almost certainly need to be specific arrangements for N Ireland where the shadow of the gunman still lurks by the border. |
