| Agree with you both, I have not feared for this country since the height of the financial crisis, which with hindsight calm heads like Darling and yes even OSbourne have helped steady the economy and given us the spring board for a more prosperous future. Now the country has no plan, a massive constitutional crisis with Labour in danger of splitting and the Tory bullingdon club unable to grow up and actually govern in the country's best interest. WHo has a mandate to negotiate the exit and what will it look like. On the latter point, noone has the faintest idea. We will get a good deal on goods (which suits France and Germany) but likely a bad one on services (bad for us), and NO ability to shape the future regulation of those services. But never mind, we can buy bendy bananas, and get our silly oversized passports back. Yes teh latter was the one tangible upside from a leaver. Really does make you despair. |
