| It isn't easy getting a representative sample and even if they do, they rely on people telling them the truth about voting intentions. Any professional pollster should quote a margin of error for their poll (which of course the media ignore as that is too complicated...) and in a close election a margin of error of even 1% could be enough to decide the result. |
