| I have written to the LBH about all this with relation to wheelie bins and having to remove trees, shrubs, plants and pave gardens over. Trees and shrubs absorb co2, improve the air we breathe, lift our spirits, support wildlife and soil absorbs water to prevent flooding. We are being discouraged from concreting over for parking, with climate change causing extreme weather conditions and have already seen it happen in Chiswick after torrential rain when the drains have been unable to cope with prolonged downpours and there's nowhere else for water to run-off. |
