| Richard: The concrete and paving option. You see it happening all over. I suppose it may move the costs from one budget to another so solving one problem to make another. There are parts of Brent I've been through where there is nothing growing at all. Enormous wheelies fill the frontages and there is still litter around them. No-one dallies to say hello in that environment. It's intimidating and dispiriting. Passing by gardens with different plants growing in them lifts the spirit and marks the seasons of the year and so does looking out of your windows and watching the spring bulbs burst through but that doesn't figure on a spreadsheet! |
