Adam, you've failed to grasp the point of my argument. It is not that Hounslow Council actually are behaving like over-powerful bureaucrats or that WGCS are actually a bunch of small-minded nimbys but that is the way the story may ultimately be presented. It seems to me, therefore, that Mr Tennant has been well-advised in this case. I'd bow to your experience that the conservation case is weak even if common sense and direct knowledge of the area indicate that it is a nonsense. It would be extraordinary that the Planning Committee, faced with the prospect of such opprobrium would push ahead with rejecting an application on grounds that were unsure. |
