The whole planning process is mighty frustrating to any normal / ordinary individual. I can fully understand where Mr Tennant is coming from.he must like so many be pretty pissed off. It can be very costly and time consuming too.Much of it in my view is completely unnecessary. Yes Adam I do have issues with planners. Sorry . It seems a bit of a bollocks subject with much invention/ bullshit and little common sense. It is hardly surprising that large schemes get through . Rich developers employ teams to tackle these things and employ the best people available. Planners seem to tackle / challenge/ frustrate smaller schemes like Mr Tennant's because its all they are able to do. My own experience of one of our local boroughs planning depts was that in my opinion it was not fit for purpose- massive monthly salary cheque jobsworths- ,but to get there [and win with costs] I had to engage the very best planning consultants and lawyers and take a gamble - bit like going to Mr W Hill. Easy for large organisations to do this - not so easy for the average Jo. |
