Richard, earlier in this thread I pointed out the identity of the applicant isn't a material planning consideration. To some extent I think that gets forgotten by some of the public when the applicant is 'famous', reflected by the press coverage which implies Mr. Tennant had some kind of public hissy fit along the lines of "don't you know who I am ?". Far from having a 'leave it to the professionals' attitude I often strongly advise clients in certain situations that it is better for them to speak to committee than for me, because their presentation (even if I wrote most of it) comes from the heart whereas I have no such emotional involvement. But yes, when it comes to celebrity clients I think that changes the whole dynamic (it shouldn't, but I think it does). |
