| I think what a lot of residents do not always know is during the time that Adam speaks of when smaller applications were decided by councillors at the local Area Forum was the bare minimum training we received at the time When I was elected back in 2006 I think my first duty as a councillor was a planning meeting a week later where myself and other newbies got thrown in to the deep end deciding complex planning issues guided by the forum clerk and a planning officer who seemed to be speaking solely in planning language only and of course we had the ultiamte decisions to make Pretty frightning really looking back on it considering how our decisions impacted on so many peoples lives |
