It sounds good if you're coherent enough. I recall after emergency surgery when I'd been turned out of my bed because someone else needed it, wandering around outside in surgical socks pushing a drip along. Someone came along and I said I wanted to go home. I couldn't go home in a cab because I'd been given morphine. Family and friends not immediately available so came home in a car with a few more people dropped off after renal treatment. We all lived in Chiswick. The driver didn't even get out of the car. I gave up and climbed into my bed. Naturopath the following day who said " good heavens", mixed up a bottle of something and I tottered off home. Whatever it was it worked. Starting to come to and take stock of the situation. Family greatly concerned. Arm encased in plaster from wrist to shoulder. The other one in a brace. That was 8 years ago and I'd like to think things have improved....... |
