"Quantum physics paints a very different picture of the Universe than the mechanical one that Newton envisaged" I stand by this. Newton envisaged a mechanical Universe made up of separate things that work independently of one another. Quantum physics recognizes that there are no separate things but all things are inter related and interdependent and not really 'things' at all. That the lines we draw between this and that are arbitrary. We treat the body like car. If an organ fails or has problems we treat it exclusively. We don't try to see how the organism as a whole might be malfunctioning, in turn causing particular stress on certain parts of the body. The body is not viewed as a whole generally AND it is considered to be separate from the state of mind that 'inhabits' it. We rarely take inot account the effects of stress, emotional trauma etc which all play a part in the health of the individual. Many older treatments see the body as an entire organism that is profoundly intertwined with it's environment and all prevailing states of mind. |
