| In itself Keith it isnt. I was talking about the 0.7% GDP spend which is well above most other developed countries. I did say what the money is being spent on is becoming more focused as well, which given a track record of corruption and misuse in many countries is on balance a good thing. Jamaica is though a relatively poor country and it has an appalling record on prison conditions. In this cases it also being linked to the UK's ability to repatriate convicted Jamaican criminals away from the UK. So in this case and indeed the Syrian refugees I personally applaud the efforts. I dont say this to make any political point either. |
