Personally I wont let anyone with a needle near my back but I do know that steroid injections do have their uses for "bone" pain. What I would suggest is that you get a very good elasticated back support to try to keep your back warm and stable while skiing and go armed with some good topical ibuprofen gel for muscle pain and a limited number of diclophenic sport pills for use in extremis. If your back does get bad, try to go swimming in cold water, it does help. |
