"If they don’t pay tax here shouldn’t they be taxed at say a 10% levy on the purchase price and/or the selling price?" In my view, the real issue is why they don't pay UK tax. If they buy property in the UK, they should be taxed on the profits they make from renting it out. It's property in the UK, rented by people in the UK, and paid for in sterling. Why on earth isn't that liable to UK tax? |
