According to latest figures the SNP has now overtaken the Liberal Democrats as the third largest political party in the UK (in terms of membership figures), and has recruited over 5,000 more members since the referendum than Labour has in total throughout Scotland. I don't think the political establishment, particularly that part of it which goes under the name of the Labour Party, has had a self-induced bullet hole this size in its foot for a very, very long time. |
