| Perhaps we should look a little more at the increase in alcoholism as a result of drinking at home especially during the pandemic. Pubs are very important meeting places especially as so many people are living in increasingly small homes and even more important to people are those with good accessibility for all. It is very sad when parents and friends stop meeting up because there is no alternative to the front steps into a building or the loos down steps in the basement. So many public buildings in the UK - and you wouldn't think that we had any Disability Access legislation. It's not just old buildings, but the poor design and flexibility of new buildings. Not just stairs but doorways too narrow to push acwalker through. Suddenly regular meeting places become inaccessible. |
