| Ignore previous about cargo bikes! Replace with this: Whatever the measurements appear to show, local residents can see that the snaking line of slow moving westbound traffic along South Parade has got longer, as has the slow moving southbound line of traffic trying to join it down Bollo Lane. There could be many reasons for this involving road closures or traffic light phasing or level crossings, or satnavs, but it’s an observable phenomenon. As for the measuring, we know this can be misleading with slow moving traffic, as a lot of cars moving slowly nose to tail past the detector, say one every 30”, can appear the same as far fewer cars passing at a decent speed. |
