| I drove along there the other day and, at the Hammersmith end, straight away a car pulled up alongside me in the cycle lane at the lights. I drove a bit further and stopped at another set of lights. This time a cyclist sped past on my inside. His light may have been green, I’m not sure but, if so, confusing to any pedestrians. At times, I felt I was being pushed too far right and needed to check that I was still on the correct side of the road. I think the biggest problem may lie where westbound traffic turns left into side roads where speedy cyclists are whizzing along on the inside. All in all, I found the whole thing to be messy and confusing. Ill thought out ideology is my conclusion, and I suspect we’ll see more of the air ambulance; and I wasn't pro or anti the scheme. |
