| I think I am right in saying that this is something TfL and Hounslow can't do due to the terms on which funding has been given as it would count as a permanent change under the rules set down by the government. The consolation is that for most of the trial we will be in lockdown and therefore the number of people who wouldn't be able to run to the bus island from the shelter is much reduced. The treatment of bus users in the latest phase of tranport policy is unbelievable. They suffer due to not having any effective lobbying group representing them. Black cabs and cyclists are unduly favoured by policy because they are so good at getting the ear of government. |
