| Did you have your bikes marked up and registered with the police? (eg www.bikeregister.com) Did you have photos of your bikes and the brands and serial numbers safely kept so that you could quickly tweet out an alert when lost or stolen and easily claim them if and when found? Do/did you belong to a cycling organisation so that you could easily share the loss of those bikes with a bike loving community who would give help and support on where to look for your bike? When you share your bike hangar with others who are paying for the privilege of a space and key presumably they too would prefer not to have the worry and stress of reporting the loss and searching together with finding another means of transport. Otherwise they could just leave their bike against a wall or chained to a roadsign. |
