The tube is a smoother ride but there’s no stepfree access.
We are being encouraged to walk, cycle or use buses.
The elderly have shopping trolleys, young mothers have buggies.
A few days ago a totally blind young lady with a guide dog was getting on an E3. She was waving her hand in a wide area in the direction of the card reader. I had to steer her hand over it whilst the driver sat there helplessly.
We then had to find an empty seat to accommodate her and the Labrador.
