John, the council themselves, on their own website, used to have a statement on policy which said: "We would not normally support a CPZ in one or two roads for the simple reason that such limited CPZ results in the displacement of any parking problems into neighbouring roads. For this reason, we would only consider a CPZ on an area-wide basis, not just in one or two roads" So they did not need warning. They already knew. Of course, when they decided to implement CPZ in two roads, Park and Staveley, this rather awkward statement was quietly removed from the LBH website. Another example of why I never believe a single word they say, on any subject. |
