Ok let me get this straight - is this Genesis 4:17 the story of Cain - who kills his brother Abel... Then goes in to the Land of Nod ("wandering") and then lays with his wife... What is your issue? It was his sister he married. There were no written laws against incest at this point. Cain did not kill Abel because of a woman!! Genesis 4:2-5 says: "Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast." So lads - get your facts right.... And Phil - what was it you didn't get exactly???? |
