So your basic question is 'Why does God allow/make bad things happen that affect other people? This is a very popular question with a long and intricate answer. Can I suggest you listen to http://www.gunnersburybaptistchurch.org/resources/viewmp3.html?sermon=79 I thknk the key is, understanding about life at the moment. It isn't perfect. There are lots of great things about it - but it is far from perfect. God doesn't say life at the moment (where we are in history and his plan)should be perfect. Not at all, in fact we live in a fallen world, under a curse by God - that has put ALL creation under frustration/chaos until a chosen time: Romans 8:19-22 says 'The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.' Also the account in Genesis 3:17-19 says: "To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." So yeah God caused it - why? For some reason I dont know about. As a part of a purpiose somewhere - or as a part of His curse on the world. |
