Why? Is this ideology over practicality? The deal with Hugo appeared to be beneficial both ways. I hope this doesnt mean Boris is going to be more political than practical. I hope Boris learns that in order to get London working he needs to make politically unpopular moves deliberately and then be able to defend them rather than avoid doing anything that might be misunderstood. In short he needs to do what is best for London and not for his public relations team. I feel London requires doing big things that will upset some people but eventualy everyone realises was a good thing. The Congestion Charge is a prime example, only a few denialists say this is a bad thing. Can Boris effect that level of change? Does he have any aspiration to? What's his big picture? What's his real, solid and big picture for London? That's what I'd like to know. |
