| Who's the silly one here, Steve? With your customary certainty, but without anything to back it up, you make the confident assertion that Rachel Reeves would destroy Sunak's 'very good job of stabilising the economy....just for spite". Pressed for evidence to back this claim up, you have no answer, except a silly little joke about handbag-carrying. Since you seem unable to support your contention by citing anything Reeves has said on this subject, let me give you a recent quotation: "No plan can be built that’s not on a rock of economic and fiscal responsibility. We will get to the investment that is needed, but we have to do that in a responsible way.” Please feel free to quote anything you've heard which contradicts that. The risk is not that Reeves would undo all Sunak's "very good work" (your words, not mine), but rather that her idea of fiscal responsibility might turn out to be little more than another damaging austerity programme. |
