| Another of your gnomic utterances. Care to explain? Do you mean why do we criticise Johnson and not Sunak? In truth there's much to criticise about Sunak's policies. His support for Suella Braverman's asylum-seeker policy and the Public Order Act 2023 is disgraceful, and his (or rather Jeremy Hunt's) economic policy and obsession with national debt is misguided, and doomed to perpetuate the decline of public services. He is rather weak and forever looking over his right shoulder, but in comparison with Johnson, he is much more honest, less devious and less self-serving. With Johnson the problem is not just the policies and incompetence, but also the bad character of the man himself. |
