I’ve just returned from the High Road where, over a short period of 10 minutes, I have seen 2 ambulances stuck in traffic with their sirens on. The High Road is absolutely log jammed in both directions as are all the ancillary routes. Yesterday, whilst out walking with my children, I was shouted at by a cyclist on the pavement! Whilst a contributory factor over the last few days, this is not simply about sinkholes on TGT. I appreciate that there are arguments on all sides of the debate, ie there should be fewer cars on the road and safer routes for cyclists but surely our current position is not sustainable for anyone and we need a level headed reset of all the various restrictions and rules in place to see whether we can find a better solution? |
