Can someone explain why Ealing Council are scrapping most of their LTNs because they consulted residents about them and found they were hugely unpopular but are not doing so for the Fisher's Lane closure? I'm sure cynics will claim that the LTNs were in wards held by Labour councillors and Fisher's Lane in Ealing is in Lib Dem territory and they need the million plus revenue that comes from the fine machine but that can't be true. The new 'open and transparent' Ealing Council will be able to provide a convincing alternative reason to any of their residents who ask. |
