"I think if a black cab stopped on the only carriageway for vehicles, to extend their wheel chair ramps and get a wheel chair user in the cab , I think WW3 would break out from the other drivers." Isn't that just the problem - a lot of selfish self-centred mostly able-bodied people on their unnecessary trips stuck in me-me-me mode choking up the streets and unable to contemplate any change to their routine? Maybe they should have allowed more time. Reminds me of someone famous who complained on twitter about the police closing off the road after a serious accident and of my own experience with the hooting from behind after someone was thrown off their scooter and over the car in front of me into the road. Yes, the lights had changed, the cars had stopped - so what. |
