@dan @dan I only attended part of the meeting last night so missed hearing about Ravis situation. My comments were not based on in depth research or surveys admittedly. They were based on informal chats as a local resident in passing with various staff at premises near the station. No one I spoke gave any indication the cpz had created problems in terms of people being able to park to use their services. If Ravis business has suffered so hugely because commuters are not able to park and therefore not using his shop this merely serves to highlight what a problem commuter parking is. If he relies on commuters for business, the large crowds on the platform at Chiswick station each day are testament to the fact they are still there. If they are not choosing to use his shop there may be other reasons. I did on one occasion speak with him and he expressed concern that the post office within his shop was suffering from lack of business, however this is generally not open at peak commuter times so that cannot be a reason. |
