I don't 'blame' your son for his minor fracas but surely it isn't the same people who decide whether or not to take action on a case who also process DBS applications? I do know how annoying DBS applications can be if only because you have to have one for each simultaneous employment/voluntary work and so on as no one 'body' is able to accept that obtained by another 'body'. This means that at one time I had five at the same time - one for an employment agency, two for the two different boroughs I worked in (schools), one for voluntary work at West Middx and one for work with a faith group. Just ludicrous and the application process sometimes took weeks to be processed, thus losing me work. I now can't be bothered to apply for new jobs as it is a matter of 'Here we go again'. With regard to your son, I suppose you have done the obvious and contacted our Member of Parliament? (I don't suppose this is a popular suggestion.) |
