| Simple solution to all of this is to levy a tax on the PROFIT of property sales. Lets say 10% for business, 5% for the rest of us. Slapping a 2% tax on houses over 2,000,000 is not going to raise enough money for the NHS (where the actual issues are far more complex than just throwing money at it .. ageing population, years of underfunding and the biggest culprit, systemic wastage on an industrial scale) and obviously WHEN house prices dip hardly anything will be generated. It would be so much better for everyone if every single political party in the UK stopped aiming their policies at the Headlines and actually came up with something to solve a problem |
