With his selection as Conservative MP candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (+ the binning of the Boris Island concept per the newspapers across recent weeks) it will be interesting to see how your man handles the question of Heathrow expansion going forward, given its importance to his potential constituency.

His objectivity is not helped I would suggest by his current intention to remain Mayor till 2016 as well as becoming an MP if elected in 2015 - do none of these people understand the concept of showing independence and avoiding potential conflicts of interest?
