| Yes well. My parents registered me as Edwin Guy but I have always been called Guy. I got booted off a flight once at Heathrow because my secretary had booked a ticket for Guy and my passport says Edwin. Metro Bank initially said I was an impostor for the same reasons. Then they claimed I did not live where I have for 10 years (and from which I have been elected to the council 3 times) because they knew I didn't live there. It turned out the credit agency Equifax had me at a previous address.I have never used Equifax, but 15 years ago I was chair of a credit union which used Equifax's service. I have gone into Metro in Hounslow 4 times to let them copy my passport, driving licence and provide bank and utility bills. Then they asked me to go in a 5th time so I sent a copy via email. No good. I wrote to their Director of Customer Experience but guess what? His email is blocked. I got irritated in my GP surgery when they called out 'Edwin'. I told them my dilemma, and now for NHS services I am now Guy Edwin. WOrks a dream so far! |
