| I have been told that the last refurbishment was done on the cheap which is a false economy when dealing with structures like this. A proper restoration that will last will require skilled specialists and top quality hardwood timber. Anyone who regularly partakes in DIY will confirm that the price of timber has shot up while the quality has plummeted. Just sourcing materials and tradesmen will be a major problem and its not hard to see how costs will spiral. Another one to kick down the road - like the state of the Chiswick Town Hall windows. |
