| Could you explain? It isn't specified when the survey was taken but if it was during the working week then people who work and need a vehicle either to get to work or as part of their job would be out therefore the sample is unrepresentative. If it was at the weekend then it may be less so but even so there would be a bias. There are some deep flaws in the way the survey was conducted which doesn't make it uninteresting or indicative of some people's views but it doesn't stand up as a reliable indicator of overall opinion in the area. You have, with some justification, dismissed similar surveys held by resident groups opposed to these measures. The question as to levels of support could only really be definitively answered by a resident survey similar to the ones held in the Ealing LTNs but I don't think that is on the table. |
