| "Nice to see a bit of research." I agree. It takes effort to go door to door and capture as broad a cross section of opinion as possible, in this case 64% of Staveley Road and 57% of Park Road households. Measures such as this should not be vetoed by a vocal minority, and politicians that pander to a small number of loud obstructionists are taking a risk. Political self interest should motivate a change in attitude. With a split slate now representing Riverside and a commitment to supporting a "cleaner, greener recovery" from the Conservative Group, I hope we'll see an end of knee-jerk opposition from some of our local politicians to any measure that restricts traffic in Chiswick. |
