Liveable streets trump driver convenience. Of course the benefits massively outweigh the downsides. Supporters of the scheme highlight quality of life improvements and safety while opponents complain about the "nuisance" to their driving.

It is a very easy decision for the Council to make and a timely reminder that the people organising tonight's protest do not speak for any majority.
