| We have a Climate Emergency and also have tremendous air pollution which various UK Govt's have failed at deal with adequately. Govt actually lobbied at the EU Parliament for the EU pollution level figures to be reduced so that UK's pollution figures did not look so bad. UK Govt lost three (3) court cases brought against them because of illegal air pollution here and were told to hurry up and come up with a plan to deal with it. The previous Mayor of London Boris Johnson announced the introduction of the Congestion Charge snd promptly moved on from the job. It's happening not just all over the UK but the world. Oxford has probably been ahead of London in making improvements. |
