| When Ealing Council chopped down several beautiful tall mature trees in Southfield Playing Fields we asked under the Freedom of Information act for an explanation. It came back so heavily redacted it was useless. But worth a try. They can always make up an excuse to say it was diseased - and it's pretty impossible to prove otherwise. I think they are gradually getting rid of the big trees as they are harder to maintain than the weedy little things that don't need much care at all. |
