25% is still correct.I'm not sure what the minimum age is now for taking this because the pension dates/ages have all changed recently.Two years ago my wife's pension date was her 60th birthday.Last year she was told she would have to work till her 65th birthday and this morning she got a letter informing her she will have to work until she is 66.Talk about moving the goalposts.With this lot in power, I think most people can look forward to working until at least 70.Even then they will only be able to retire if they have saved enough to see them through. |
