| I too was amazed at the statement that the the present playground 'had come to the end of its useful life' since I walk past it every day and that clearly is not the case and it has been improved since I used to take my son to it 20 odd years ago. I really think that the symmetry and completeness of Chiswick Green would be really spoiled by having a chunk carved out of one corner. My guess as always as someone has already suggested, is that the council wishes to sell off the existing area for development.The only thing in the proposal's favour is that children would not have to negotiate a difficult crossing of Fisher's Lane as at present. I've always thought a pedestrian crossing somewhere along here would help. |
