To C. Wynne - what is the matter with you that you regularly express yourself in a graceless and rude manner? The query relates to the point that if the Council is being paid for the use of this public space, is the money being used by the Council to maintain the green or does it go into its general funds. Julien, Contrary to your statement that is is for occasional use, that is not so. It is used every day for several hours by what appears to be the same private school. In addition the pitches are always marked up on the same place and the ground is becoming impacted and the grass poached up. Another school also uses the same area but the children play netball, tennis and football on the all weather site - there are no objections whatsoever to this. Another user of the Common also asked me if the local residents had been consulted about the use - we are perfectly entitled to ask what questions we like about our area and it does not necessarily mean we are for or against it. |
