| I have managed to establish the following since the matter was brought to my attention a few days ago: Chiswick Common is on the refurbishment program to replace or upgrade the existing play area since it has come to the end of its natural life and is no longer economical to repair. The Council have allocated £114,000 to this play area and will go out to play companies next month for a design. The consultation process which closes today will influence what the Council ask designers to include or omit. The moving of the site to the other side of Fishers Lane is a suggestion and not written in stone. If the Council moved the site then they would re-landscape the old site. It seems that the Council neglected to inform ward councillors of any of the above – since it’s the festival session I will say no more!!!!
